But what is Ecological Dynamics, and why is it now finding a prominent place in jiu-jitsu?

If you were to Google "Ecological Dynamics for BJJ," you might be met with faces like Greg Saunders and Ed Ingamels.

Both are incredibly intelligent and authorities in the relatively contemporary space.

But honestly, both can use some terminology that can turn curious ears into confused minds.

My ultimate goal with this conversation is to make the topic more palatable for those curious ears new to the topic.

Today, I have Kabir Bath, a black belt under the legendary Rafael Lovato Jr. and owner of Kaboom BJJ.

Kabir started his journey 17 years ago and opened his academy six years later as a Purple Belt, quickly earning his brown belt afterward.

A year ago, almost to the day, Kabir switched to teaching all his classes in the Ecological Dynamics approach to skill acquisition.
