Answering Listener Questions on Attachment, Rupture & Repair with Dr. Gill

Listen Later

We welcome bas Dr. Jesse Gill who did 2 podcasts with us last year on the basics of Attachment.
We asked listeners what do you want to know more about attachment?
Here are some questions we received:
Is a contract (marriage license and officiated wedding) the same thing as an attachment?
Is it the start of one, or perhaps not part of it at all? Can it be true for one party and not the other?
When intending to form new attachments, is it feeling first or thinking first (acting first)?
What's the relationship between attachment and emotional control?
Which comes first, attachment or compassion?
How does the Theory of mind differ in sentiment between those we have an attachment with and those we don't?
So what causes rupture?
What is repair?
How does this fit with the idea of 'keeping a record of wrong"
Where do you start? Connection 101
What about different levels of need to connect or attach?
