At age 18, Dr Paul Wood's mother died and three days later, chose to catch up with a drug dealer. That fateful meeting would conclude with him dead and Dr Paul in prison for the first night of what would be the next ten years plus in some of New Zealand’s toughest prisons.
By his release in 2006 he had attained an undergraduate degree in psychology and philosophy, a master’s degree in psychology, and was two years into his Ph.D. in Psychology.
