In this Ask Shannah, I tackle a question from Jasmine that you might be able to relate to. "Dear Shannah, I can’t tell you know much I love this show. It has helped me immensely. In fact, when I had drinks with my friends recently I was telling them how my money situation hasn’t gotten a lot better, meaning I’m not making a lot more money, but girl, I feel a lot better about it. I used to wake up with stress sweats over money almost every night. I live in NYC and it’s expensive, like really expensive. So my question is this - I really try really hard to budget and do everything you say to do. And they help, really they do, but lately, I’ve been struggling. I feel like I’m always underestimating my expenses and then I get to the end of the month and the money that’s supposed to be there isn’t. What am I doing wrong? Any clues to help me get back on track? These last couple of years I’ve felt like I’m moving backward with my money even though I actually feel better about money. Anyway…I’d love your thoughts on this. "
