Hi I'm new to property investing. Love the podcast learned lot from it. We have our personal property, just want to start property investing, I hear lot about buying in trust everywhere, but can't get my head around it as there is not much clear info on it, can you guys explain on investing property under a trust, what are the strategies we can use, how lending works when you buy property under trust. Thank you.

Hello, enjoying your podcasts a fair bit. Interesting seeing the major growth of farmland over the last 20 years and wondering why we don’t talk about investing in this sector too much?
Personally, I’ve seen more equity growth with my farm than with my residential and industrial properties over many years. Plenty of upside in the years ahead in my view. Shawn
3 – Reza the Imp
I’ve been listening to your podcasts for a while. Excellent job.I don’t believe ever hearing the 85% withdrawal rule for FHSS for concessional contributions discussed here nor on other Rask podcasts. Could you please touch on this and how it can be justified to use FHSS for someone with low marginal tax rate I.e. less than 30%.

Property and Online Dating?! Yep – Hear Us Out.
In todays episode, Owen and buyer’s advocate Amy Lunardi have a bit of fun by breaking down 10 (very real) ways the home buying journey mirrors the highs, lows, and swipes of online dating.
From emotional rollercoasters to red flags, dealbreakers to being catfished — this episode is packed with relatable truths and useful strategies for buyers navigating the property market.
Whether you're searching for your dream home or your forever partner (or both), this one's a must-listen.
🧠 In This Episode:
- It’s Exhausting: The emotional and mental toll of house hunting and dating — and how to stay motivated.
-Finding “The One”: Why you shouldn’t ignore the perfect property just because it showed up early.
- Getting Led On: AKA underquoting – the property equivalent of getting ghosted.
- It’s a Numbers Game: Why showing up, inspecting, and putting yourself out there matters.
- It Can Take a Few Dates: Don’t expect love at first open home.
- Know Your Dealbreakers: What must-haves and red flags to define before you fall for the wrong house.
- Evolving Preferences: What you want might change, and that’s okay.
- Nobody’s Perfect: Aim for an 8/10, not 11/10 — even Travis Fimmel has flaws.
- Beware of Being Catfished: How online listings can mislead – and how to sniff it out early.
- Don’t Ignore the Red Flags: That easement, that OC report, that “too good to be true” price — trust your gut.

- First home buyers feeling stuck or overwhelmed
- Property buyers trying to reconcile emotion with logic
- Anyone who’s experienced “the one that got away” (in property or in dating)
- Investors and homebuyers who want to learn how to structure a solid property brief
