There’s a good reason why breakfast TV hosts are among the biggest celebrities in the country. It’s an intimate and long-term relationship. Lisa Millar is the host of Australia’s most popular breakfast show, ABC News Breakfast. She’s a Walkley Award-winning journalist who has covered some of the biggest news stories in the world, including terrorist attacks, mass shootings, and natural disasters.
When you’re doing three hours of live TV every day, unexpected things happen and you have to react instantly. You need to improvise and think on your feet. You can’t hide who you are when you’re streaming live on air for 15 hours every week, for years. But being a TV star is very new to Lisa - in ways that are both wonderful and incredibly difficult, even painful.
