Today's episode is inspired by Elizabeth Gilbert's Super Soul Sunday podcast episode where she talks about finding your purpose. If you haven't found it yet, you can feel like a failure. There's so much pressure to find your purpose. Elizabeth instead offers, to follow your curiosity. I would concur with that advice. I kept doing the things I loved to do e.g. Traveling, photography, connecting with people, creating art, and sharing experiences. Years of not knowing what I was doing and thinking that these experiences were random were not. I can now connect the dots of my past and feel immense gratitude for every experience both beautiful and painful to have shaped me into the person I am today. Each heartbreak and venture off the path has prepared me for my purpose. The journey towards finding your purpose is oftentimes from pain, it's messy, it's really scary but ultimately beautiful.

Janae started her post-college path like most of us, trying to figure out what we want to do with our life. She didn't quite know what she wanted to do but she kept moving forward with the mantra, try everything. In 2018, just a year ago, she decided to be more vulnerable on Instagram and show her audience the reality of her life which included her home and things she was going through. Her Instagram, @jnaydaily puts the “social” back in social media and cultivates a community, where followers can always turn for interior and overall wellness inspiration. Marrying beautifully curated content with authentic, relatable snippets of her day has allotted Janea the trust of people from all walks of life with unique stories to tell. It might be the name, although more likely her infectious smile, but everywhere she goes, someone knows Lizzie Brown. Lizzie moved to Los Angeles 15 years ago from Gainesville, Fla., and got her start in lifestyle PR representing surf and sportswear brands. In 2007, at 23 years old, she opened her first PR shop, Dell et Ruhs. In that time she is credited with launching Lorna Jane and Carbon38, among more than 30 other contemporary fashion labels. Eight years later, Lizzie and her husband Joaquin teamed up to launch Kamala Collective, an agency specializing in app development, PR and marketing for wellness brands. At that time, PR was rapidly undergoing an evolution; so ever tenacious and resourceful, Lizzie adapted and honed her ability to create strategic partnerships, often with zero ad dollars, among likeminded brands, media and influencers to give up-and-coming independent founders a voice in an otherwise oversaturated, pay-to-play landscape.
