This week I have a conversation with Mathieu Jang who goes by parkour.jang on Instagram. Mathieu is a high level parkour athlete and shares his story about how he found parkour and why he does it barefoot. We talked about risk perception and his process of approaching a challenge in parkour by breaking it down into individual parts and working through each component individually before piecing it all together in a final movement sequence. We finish off by talking about what parkour is to him and where beginners can start if they want to begin their own journey into parkour regardless of age or ability.
