Bill and Christy talked on the phone a lot and then realized they had to meet. DEAFNESS AND CANCER Like Vinnie, Chris had hearing problems at an early age. Chris's problem was discovered at school when she failed the hearing tests. She didn't receive her first hearing aids until she was an adult. She went through life without hearing much until she was established, and only then did she realize how much she was missing. Until then, people thought Chris was slow -- but that wasn't the case . . . she just couldn't hear! And like Vinnie, Bill battled serious cancer. He had leukemia and non-Hodgkins lymphoma. Fasting made a world of difference for him -- quite literally. Bill is fortunate that he is living with this 'uncurable' cancer and is doing very well.
