This week, I had the opportunity to sit down with the head strength coach at Eastern University, Coach Ryan Salztman. Coach Saltzman has been at Eastern for the last four years, two of which where I was a student athlete. We covered alot of great information this episode. We got into what it's like to be a struggling strength coach, working up to 3 jobs at once to make ends meet. He has had stops at Haverford College, Penn Charter High School, Rosemont College, and various jobs in the private sector.
Since taking over at Eastern, the athletic program has grown tremendously. Close to 400 athletes train under coach on a weekly basis, as well as many students. We got into setting culture at a new school, as he is Eastern's first ever full time strength coach.
Hope you guys enjoy this one!

On this episode, I go into progress and how it's shown up in my life. Over the last year and a half, I've taken up weightlifting full time. It's a sport with so many ups and downs that a lot of people quit within a relatively short time. I dive into how to deal with the highs and lows in weightlifting and in life.
As I try to make it as a creator, I understand these plateaus and have to push past them. I mentioned a few books and how reading hasn't taught me the true lessons until I've actually experienced things myself. Hope you guys enjoy.

This week, I had the priviledge of talking with Matt Lee. Matt is an online fitness coach, YouTuber, and competitive bodybuilder. I had a blast learning what it takes to compete in bodybuilding, how Matt gained 36 pounds in 2 days, and more. We got into the business side on how Matt got started, what it took to get over the fear of vlogging in public, and what keeps him going.

This week, I really opened up about my story. It took a lot for me to share this one. I didn't edit a single second of this podcast, so I know what I was meant to say is exactly what I said.
I go into my baseball career from basically start to finish, my childhood, and everything that led me to quitting my job and going down the creative path. Hope you guys enjoy.

This week, I sat down with Emily Pappas, the founder of Relentless Athletics. We dove into coaching, nutrition, and business throughout the interview. Emily provided a ton of value of what it's like to be a young business owner and how she's building Relentless brick by brick. She has developed young girls into division 1 athletes in multiple different sports. We also got into how the snatch and clean&jerk are a form of mindset training and why she uses them with girls who have never trained before.

With stops at Kentucky, Mississippi State, UConn, and now Georgia Southern, Shannon knows what it takes to make it in the collegiate strength atmosphere. She shares what she learned at each school and the BIGGEST mistake you can make as an intern. This week, I brought on Natalie Newhart to the podcast. After making the Games in 2013, she struggled with injuries and was one spot short of qualifying in 2015. We dove into her story about what led her doing whatever it took to get back to the CrossFit games.
In the second half, we discussed how Natalie’s lifestyle has changed since leaving competitive fitness. She is much more focused on chasing happiness, instead of the podium. We also get into some nutrition talk and how big of a part lifestyle can affect fat loss.

This week on the podcast, I welcomed on Paige Henry. We got into her training, nutrition, and mindset in to being an elite athlete. The first time she walked into a crossfit gym changed her life. But, that didn't mean it was easy. She started off just like the rest of us, with an empty barbell and fell in love with training. We talked about how Paige has developed the mindset to overcome adversity and failure. I know you guys will enjoy this one and take away a lot from it.
