Missing Persons, and Zodiac Speaking as he explores the beyond bizarre 1975 murder of Lindy Sue Biechler. On December 5th, Lindy left work and drove to her husband Jeff's workplace. She then went to deposit his paycheck, went to the grocery store, and arrived at their Spring Manor Apartments residence at 6:30 p.m. Some relatives found her soon thereafter, stabbed 11 times. The door to the apartment was found open, but no one saw anything. Police soon learned that Lindy had told people she was being watched, and her gravestone was defaced with red paint by an unknown person. Episode 4 The Alabama Axe Murderess Join Erica Kelley from Southern Fried True Crime as she takes a look at a case she finds beyond bizarre – the June 1959 torso murders in Northeast Alabama. That month, two male human torsos were found in Etowah and St. Clair counties. The arms and legs belonging to these torsos were found scattered in Calhoun County. The victims remained unidentified for weeks, and they turned out to be the Harper brothers. They lived in a trailer on a farm in Calhoun County – a farm owned by the family of Viola Hyatt, who eventually confessed to the gruesome murders and dismemberment. Tommy Zeigler, the store's owner, was convicted of the crime and sentenced to death. 46 years later, he is still on death row. His conviction is controversial, with recanting witnesses, conflicts of interest, and contradictory testimony. In May of 2021, Zeigler was finally awarded the right to conduct DNA testing of some of the physical evidence from the scene.
