月全食「掩天王星」11/8 登場
Blood Moon in the Sky Next Week
A blood moon is coming next week.
That sounds kind of scary, and it's not Halloween anymore right?
A blood moon is actually a full lunar eclipse (月全食).
That's when the moon moves into Earth's shadow.
That means the Earth is almost exactly between the Sun and the Moon.
When that happens, sunlight doesn't reach the moon.
The moon is only lit by light refracted (折射) from Earth.
So it looks a little different from the regular white moon.
During a full lunar eclipse, the moon looks reddish!
That's why some people call it a "blood moon".
And on Tuesday next week, you'll see what that looks like!
The Central Weather Bureau (中央氣象局) says starting at 4:01pm that day, the Earth's shadow will start to move over the moon.
The full eclipse will come at around 6:16pm.
And for 86 minutes, the moon will look a reddish color.
And something else amazing is happening around that time too.
It's a lunar occultation of Uranus.
That's when the moon moves in front of Uranus.
If we look through a telescope (望遠鏡), we would see Uranus disappear behind the moon, and then reappear again.
So, on Tuesday night, both a full lunar eclipse and a lunar occultation of Uranus will happen!
11月8日將可看到「月全食」奇景,在全食階段恰好又發生「月掩天王星」
Experts say the next time the two will happen on the same night, will be in the year 4344!
The Central Weather Bureau says you can watch through a telescope.
Or, you can watch the livestream on the bureau's website.

The track is full of big curves.
There are also lots of steep sections.
這段鐵道路線有許多大彎道和上升或下降急劇的階段。
