BLOOD SUGAR LEVELS | What should you do when your blood sugar spikes?

I got a question in my DMs this week, and it made me realise there is one topic I have had really overlooked. 

They let me know (in the nicest way possible) that I have talked to death about strategies to prevent a blood sugar spike, but haven’t addressed what to do when it’s already happened. 

Great point. 

And it’s something that is almost a universal experience - it’s probably happened to you at some point on your gestational diabetes journey, and can be incredibly stressful, confusing and overwhelming. 

I want you to have a little more piece of mind in these situations, so I’ve done my best to hustle together a practical episode stepping you through how to manage this. 

Spoiler - the solution is NOT to skip your next snack or meal, and you certainly should NOT give in to the temptation to cut out all the carbs. 

The episode covers what you should eat, and the other things you can do to immediately bring your blood sugar back down to a more stable level.
