Body Positive Resolutions (0:00:00)
2021 is almost here and I think all of us are more than ready for it! With the new year comes new year’s resolutions, goals we make to become better versions of ourselves. And often, our goals include fitness goals. But when you make your new year fitness goals, do you think about whether they’re positive or negative? If they build you up or make you feel worse about your physical health? Here to talk to us today about creating body-positive resolutions is Connie Sobczak, the co-founder and executive director of The Body Positive, and friend of the show.
Neighbor and Teacher Gifts (0:34:47)
December is here and it’s the season of giving! Which means its time to give cookies and gingerbread and wassail to every neighbor on your street and to all your kid’s teachers! But while baked goods are delicious and always welcome, sometimes you don’t have to time or you want to go for a healthier option, or you simply want to shake it up a bit. That’s why we asked a friend of the show to talk with us about creative gifts we can give to neighbors and teachers. Here to answer our gift related questions is Carrie Ann Rhodes.
Finding Love After Divorce (0:52:42)
We always hope that when a couple says “I do” that they really will be together until “death do they part.” Unfortunately, that doesn’t work out for everyone—and that’s okay! Sometimes breaking up is the best thing for a couple. Divorces can be painful though, and healing from a heartbreak like that can take some time. Here to share advice with us on how to take those step towards healing after divorce is intimacy expert Allana Pratt.
Gallop NYC (1:13:07)
For thousands of years, horses have been an invaluable resource to us. We’ve used them for farming, war, and transportation. But over time, it became clear that there was more to horses than muscle and speed. We’ve learned how perceptive they are, how they can recognize human emotion and form deep bonds with their rider. Because of these characteristics, and many others, horses have taken on a new role: therapy for people with disabilities. We wanted to know more about how these animals are helping heal minds and hearts. So, we invited James Wilson, the founder and director of GallopNYC, to talk about his nonprofit organization and how they are utilizing horses as a means of therapy.

Nothing feels better than stretching after being stagnant and cooped up for a long period of time. And if there has ever been a time when we as a people have felt both stagnant and cooped up, that time is now! Between quarantining and working from home, we need some help easing our aches and pains. So, we’ve invited Corrective Exercise Specialist, Matt Peale, on the show.
