BONUS EP: Guided Meditation- Coming Back to yourself, with Georgia Fish

Listen Later

*Please make sure you are not driving for this guided meditation.

We are so excited to be bringing you this special Bonus Ep, a guided meditation facilitated by Georgia Fish (a beautiful close friend), an ex-professional surfer turned kinesiologist, yogi and mamma- who is deeply committed to helping to support mammas nervous systems.

Join us while we take 11 minutes for ourselves; a moment to go inwards, resting our bodies and minds.

Being a single parent can be a challenging task, and it can be hard to find time for yourself, let alone for a meditation. However, finding time to tune inwards and meditate is essential for being able to maintain your well-being and help us navigate our incredibly busy days.

Here are some tips how you can implement it into your daily life:

1. Schedule it: Just like other essential tasks, schedule or add meditation to your daily to-do list. Set aside a specific time, like early in the morning before your children are awake, or late at night once they have gone to bed.

2. Involve your children: You can involve your children in meditation or mindfulness practices. Teach them the importance of taking deep breaths and encourage them to join you. This way, you can connect and relax together.

3. Use micro-meditations: If finding a specific chunk of time feels difficult, try incorporating micro-meditations throughout your day. Practice taking a few deep breaths in the middle of a task or when you have a few minutes between your busy schedule.

4. Enlist help: Reach out to family or friends to take care of your children for a short time. This way, you can free up some time just for yourself to practice meditation.

5. Reduce screen time: Limit your screen time or use of social media, which can sometimes create stress or distraction. Reducing your screen time can also help you shift your focus towards finding time to practice meditation.

Remember, small steps towards a meditation practice can make a big difference in your overall well-being. Don't be hard on yourself if you can't maintain a routine, and keep practicing when you can.
