Do you think there's a quick fix for your boutique business? So many women do!!! In this episode I'm going to explain why thinking there's a quick fix can be a tough pill to swallow and how to have a quantum leap in your mindset around it.

1. Think taking a course, reading a book or even listening to this podcast is enough to change your business? It's not! You have to implement the steps and advice to actually see results. You need to do what's required to grow a sustainable business!

2. Think throwing money at tangible places will help? Nope... Facebook Ads, Inventory... most likely these things also take time and a plan to get a real return on the money you put towards them. I spent thousands in FB Ad testing before I could actually get a return on them!

So how do you fix this mindset issue?

1. Do the mindset work! Find your patterns, change them! Realize you can create your own reality and that avoiding the mindset work only creates a deeper issue.

2. Plan to do the actual work! Make a schedule, set time aside to work on what you have committed to!

I’m wrapping up this powerful 3 part series on PAYING YOURSELF!!! If you haven’t heard it yet, I’m over boutique owners saying they can’t pay themselves because they need to prioritize paying for other things. Most likely, you aren’t managing your margins or expenses appropriately— that’s the first place to check in with yourself. If you go longer than 6 months without paying yourself, most likely, you never will and your boutique will fall flat because you aren’t managing your money correctly. In this episode I focus on teaching you how to actually start paying yourself:

1. Focus on your NET profit. Keep margins high, watch expenses closely.

2. Find an amazing and supportive accountant who understands you and your goals. They don’t make you feel bad about money or scared of the IRS.

3. If you are a sole proprietor or a single member LLC, simply write yourself a check from the business account, and deposit it into your personal account as the owner’s draw. If you are a corporation, partnership LLC, or have employees you may want to consider using a payroll service to help you manage paying the taxes on payroll to yourself and others.

I'm going DEEPER with this whole 'YOU'VE GOT TO PAY YOURSELF" idea this week. Because really guys, you HAVE to start taking a salary from your boutique business... and this week I'm going to tell you WHY you MUST pay yourself! I feel like I'm trying to convince boutique-land to adjust from a very old martyrdom mindset, to a "money flows in and out of my business with ease and grace" mindset!

Here's my top 3 reasons why you really MUST start paying yourself:

1. We have to evolve into a modern relationship with money! Te internet has changed everything but our ideas haven't- we still get caught up in the 'work hard, make money' mentality. Let's get excited to unplug from the old and plug into the new concept of money!

2. Most flows as energy-- when you don't pay yourself, you won't be able to spend it and they cycle of in/out energy flow gets blocked.

3. We love to be rewarded as humans!! Even a small amount to allocate to yourself to get your nails done or a dinner out can feed the positive flow and give your brain a pat on the back for putting your all into the business!
