The extreme south-eastern coast of Tamil Nadu, Sri Lanka and most of Maldives are likely to see below normal rainfall during the October-December period. Ramanathapuram, Thoothukudi, Tirunelveli and Kanniyakumari districts in Tamil Nadu and the adjoining Thiruvananthapuram district in Kerala may be affected as per this outlook. Fortunately, all these districts have received normal-to-above normal rain during the South-West monsoon.

The second sero surveillance by the ICMR shows that so far one in 15 Indians is exposed to the novel coronavirus. The survey also states that the prevalence of the infection is four times more in urban slum population than in their counterparts in rural areas.
For the survey, the Director-General of ICMR, Balram Bhargava said that blood samples were collected from over 29,000 volunteers from the same 70 districts in 21 States and Union Territories that participated in the first round of the survey.
The survey again proved that population density is an important factor in the spread of the infection.
More importantly, the ICMR chief said that with increased testing capacity, India is currently detecting 1 out of 26-32 infections as compared with 1 in 80-130 in May. Listen.

Market regulator SEBI on Tuesday made it mandatory for listed companies to disclose forensic audits is initiated against them to the stock exchanges. The listed entity will also have to disclose the final findings of such an audit.
The SEBI board also said that information provided to the market regulator on insider-trading, which is older than three years, is likely to be put in the cold storage.

General Atlantic, a global growth equity firm, will invest ₹3,675 crore into Reliance Retail Venture, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries. This investment values Reliance Retail at a pre-money equity value of ₹4.285-lakh crore. This marks the second investment by General Atlantic in a subsidiary of Reliance Industries, following a ₹6,598.38-crore investment in Jio Platforms announced earlier this year. This is the third investment into Reliance Retail after Silver Lake and KKR.

Meet 17-year old Karan Soin, who has created a mobile app to provide farmers access to small loans easily. The class XI student won the top prize this year at the CSIR Innovation Award for School Children 2020 for this mobile app, which is named Sudhaar.
Soin is completely self-taught in coding, he realised that the recurring problem that most villagers faced was the uncertainty in getting loans, which inspired him to start this app.
