Does day-to-day life sometimes feel like a battle that you’re just not winning? A battle to get through the to-do list, a battle to lose weight, a battle to keep up with work?
I feel like so many of us are in this place and have been for a long time - but now more than ever. And it’s exhausting.
It’s also not our fault because there’s lots of ways in which pressure is heaped on us from outside. However, that doesn’t mean that there aren’t some things we can do for ourselves to release the grip and let go of the battle, which will do us (and our mental health) the world of good.
Today, we’ll talk about:
• Why we’re in this fight and where it all comes from
• How it’s dysregulating our nervous systems and making us feel not so great
• How to recognise if we are ‘in the fight’
• What we can do personally to start disengaging from the fight
This is about creating more balance for ourselves, one little step at a time, giving ourselves grace and starting to let go of the fight.

We’ve all heard about mindfulness, and the premise of it sounds amazing doesn’t it?
Becoming more tuned into the here and now, learning to enjoy life more and less worry about what comes next all the time. Especially when we feel run ragged with endless to do lists, demands and things that need our attention.
And when we’re in that place where we can’t see the wood for the trees, mindfulness can feel really needed, but also very distant from us. So this week I’ve invited Tammy Lovell from The Mindful Diva onto the show to help all of us (me included) with building that mindfulness muscle in a way that’s simple but highly effective.
You’ll learn:
• What really is mindfulness and how can it improve my life?
• How to get comfortable with being more mindful when it feels out of reach?
• Some simple techniques for bringing more mindful moments into your day.
I can’t wait to share this one with you!

As a recovering perfectionist myself, I know all too well the pressure we can put ourselves under to do everything perfectly, and without ever making any mistakes. But for many of us this drive for perfectionism can end up leaving us really stuck.
I know, because I’ve been there many times myself.
So, this week’s episode is all about giving you the permission you need to be perfectly imperfect. I’ll be revealing:
• What perfectionism is costing you
• Why it keeps us stuck and frustrated
• How it shows up in our lives (in ways you might not expect)
• Why perfection is an illusion
• Your first steps to overcoming perfectionism and finally getting yourself unstuck
We all have a perfectionist streak within us and it can be really frustrating when we’re in that place. But there are other ways which can lead to you feeling happier, making your life feel easier and, ironically actually helping you to achieve more in the long run.

Procrastination. A feeling a lot of us are very familiar with. And something that often stops us from doing the things that really matter, but which may push us out of our comfort zone.
Whenever we have a big, important thing to do, we can always find at least 17 other small, easy tasks that need doing first. Am I right?
Well today we’re going to dive into this. I’ll be sharing with you:
Ultimately, I’ll be helping you to understand how procrastination is showing up AND getting in our way. And how we can find strategies to overcome this and finally start working towards some of the things that really matter.

Hands up if you’d love to get into regular exercise and start feeling fitter, stronger and more confident. And hands up if you’re not quite sure where to start - and this is putting you off getting going.
Maybe you’ve never really done any regular exercise and the idea of getting started is feeling really daunting. Or maybe you have exercised in the past, but you’ve been out of the game for a while and you need a bit of help getting back into the saddle.
Well, the good news is, I’ve got your back. Because this week I’ll be sharing my very own ‘starting exercise’ story and then giving you a plan of action, which I’ve built over years of creating my own exercise routine and working with hundreds of women to create theirs.
I know that by the end of this episode you’re going to be feeling motivated, excited and truly ready to get started.

Is weight loss without diets even possible? And if it is how do we go about it?
There are literally millions of women out there who I know would love to give up a lifetime of diets. But they also don’t want to give up on the dream of weight loss. Which means many of us are stuck in a catch-22. Miserable being on diets all the time even though we’re often not getting the long-term results that we crave. But fearful of what will happen if we give up diets for good.
So, in this week’s episode we’re going to be uncovering:
- The dilemma between wanting to give up diets, but feeling like we’re giving up on ourselves if we stop.
- The very real fears that we have about letting go of a lifetime of diets.
- Why we’ve become disconnected with what our bodies need, and how we go about regaining that connection for better nutrition.
And ultimately, we’ll talk about the very best strategies for giving up diets, while still looking after yourself in the best possible way, and ultimately feeling so much better about yourself.

Trauma can play a huge part in many of our stories, in how we feel about ourselves and in how our lives play out. It can lead to anxiety and inflammation within our bodies, and even physical pain.
So this week I’m joined by author Samala Bygraves, to get clear on the role of trauma in our lives and how we can go about healing that and in the process improving our mental, emotional and physical wellbeing.
In this episode, we’ll talk about:
- What is trauma
- What is it’s role in both our physical and mental health
- How trauma manifests in our day to day lives
- The first steps towards healing
Ultimately, the aim with healing trauma is to take us back to a place of safety. Because it’s from that place that we can really flourish.

It can be really easy to find excuses not to do a workout: I’m too busy, I’m too tired, I’ll do one tomorrow, I need to make dinner… I’m not saying those excuses aren’t valid, but sometimes we are creating an excuse so we just don’t have to do the workout. All of us have a mixture of feminine and masculine energy within us. We express ourselves through these energies in our day-to-day lives, as well as in the way we judge ourselves and our actions or our non-actions. This also feeds through into our health and wellbeing. Our culture and society puts the masculine energy on a pedestal, while the feminine energy appears weak, lazy and undesirable. In this episode, I will talk about the difference between the feminine and masculine energy, and how finding a better balance of the two can serve us and our wellness.
What You Will Learn in This Episode:
- In which areas of your life you need masculine energy most
- Why you need feminine energy and where it shows most in your life
- How to reflect on the balance of these energies within your own life
- How to slow down so you can listen and allow yourself to just ‘be’
- Why it’s helpful for you to learn to work with your cycle
- Allowing yourself to have ups and downs of energy, motivation and drive
I am still very much a work in progress on this myself. After almost 45 years of being conditioned to exist mostly in the masculine, I’m learning to allow more feminine energy in. There is real beauty in slowing down and allowing more to come into your life, rather than constantly being on the chase. Once you open yourself to that, your own wellbeing will start to rise up in your priorities.
