Cabin Culture

Janice and Alexis, long time insta-besties, sit down (again) to share stories and insight on what it's been like hosting their highly sought after cabins all these years. The background on Janice's Cozy Cabins you may be familiar with from our Introduction episode (check it out if you haven't), and to be honest you may already know Alexis and Skeeter's Kingdom A-frame as well, as it has been featured in Vogue as one of Airbnb's most-liked listings! What you may not be as familiar with is their new build coming soon, called The Darling A-frame. All this and more on this episode of Cabin Culture.

Duff and Danny, the team behind Offgrid Inn, join us on this episode to walk us through all the ups and downs of building their first two cabins from scratch. Their offbeat style of marketing has created a huge buzz on tiktok that, paired with a clean contemporary design sense featuring pops of the unexpected, has landed them a dwell magazine feature and even fashion design inquiries. We get into all that it takes to design, build, and manage your own cabin, what kind of stress they went through as a team during that time and their plans to take the next Offgrid design West to California.

Jourdan's extensive background of nearly a decade in multiple different roles in the  design industry makes her wildly over qualified for our small quaint cabin podcast and yet she sits down with us to share all of her thoughts and tips on design! She's the woman behind Cozy Rock Cabin's interior and walks us through her and Janice's initial approach to designing with "others" in mind and how that differs from the their initial work together on Janice's primary residence. Janice introduces a new segment where we selfishly steal design tips for each of our cabins, and Jourdan shares with us the inspiration behind the launch of her new podcast Home, Addressed  where the first batch of episodes will focus on helping listeners finding their own personal style.
