CALMING ANXIETY- We live in an ever changing, fast paced world. A world filled with too much information and too many choices. We’re constantly being told to move faster, do more, reach farther, as a measure of success. Sadly, along with that mentality comes anxiety, stress and burnout. Although we can’t change the overall state of the world, we CAN change our brains. By practicing mindfulness skills, just like Yoga Nidra, we’ll develop a deeper sense of calm and compassion that can help us handle difficult moments with greater balance. We’ll learn how to dissolve our own anxiety and stress, and how to cultivate an unshakeable core of calm and strength. And with that, we can weather anything the world throws at us.
-For this practice, you’ll simply lie down in a comfortable place, close your eyes, connect to your breath and follow my voice into a deep state of relaxation. At the end of the practice, I invite you to do some short and simple journaling. Just a few minutes with a pen, paper and your thoughts will help you to deepen your experience. If you need to pause to grab a pen and paper, do so now. Let’s begin.
