Cat & Cloud Podcast

It’s important to us that we have a values alignment with the companies we choose to do business with, and High Brow Coffee is no exception! Wholesale just took a trip to visit this very special café in Franklin, Tennessee. Marc sat down with a couple key players, owner Dustin Sauder and café manager Erich Sandersfeld to chat about the journey to becoming the intentional and caring space that High Brow Coffee + Tea is today.

If you love it here a rating and review on iTunes or your podcast player of choice would mean the world to us. If reviewing sounds annoying, sharing with someone you care about also takes us to happy-town and allows us to help more people. We appreciate you.

It’s not the first time we’ve posed this question, and it certainly won’t be the last. Here’s where we’re at with it at this point of our journey. Owners Chris, Jare and Charles toss around a some ideas, business models and attitudes for owners and employees that might be key.

How does vulnerability change a discussion? Chris and Jare reflect on the recent Wholesale Partner Forum and jump into some fun topics like owner mental health, why they might apply the forum's teaching format to our own team's education, and why its important to understand your employees as individuals. It might take a really long time, but we also got this idea for world peace.

What happens when Chris and Jare skip their pre-podcast chat and press record right away? There's an extra level of candidness and excitement attached to the realizations that come up. In fact, ideas developed organically over the podcast often become major company initiatives down the road.

Hindsight is 20/20 and we'll be unpacking what Chris and Jared have learned recently in a constructively critical self-analysis of themselves as leaders. We'll dive into ideas for improvement like referring to values whenever protocol is unclear, and better defining what a leader actually does.
