Instructional design (ID) is the practice of systematically designing instruction to create productive, and positive learning outcomes. ID has a generic model called ADDIE which represents five critical ID components: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The present shows discusses how the ID components are important to behavior analysts. We highlight Development and Evaluation and dive into each step providing examples and a rationale for how behavior analysts can improve their practice by implementing design features into their programs.
