Citizen Detective

Introducing: Killer Communications

AbJack Entertainment, the same network that brings you Citizen Detective, has a brand new show launching March 1,2025. It's called Killer Communications, and it's hosted by Mike Morford.

In each episode of Killer Communications, Mike discusses a true crime case where one of the clues is a mysterious form of contact; whether it's a frightening phone call to a victim, a mysterious email to the press, or a taunting letter sent to the press, these bizarre communications happen more often than you might think, and sometimes have deadly consequences.

In this short preview of Killer Communications, Season 1 Episode 1, you'll hear about the case of Dale Williams, a father and husband, who was lured from the Nucla, Colorado body shop he owned by a mysterious caller in 1999. He was never seen again. His abandoned truck was found submerged in a local waterway, but there was never any sign of Dale himself. Despite an ex-friend of Dale's being a longtime suspect in the case, police were never able to make an arrest. But that all changed in 2024 when an arrest and answers finally came.

After you listen to this preview of Killer Communications, head over to your favorite podcast app, and be sure to subscribe to Killer Communications, so you can hear the full episode on Dale Williams, and catch every new episode of Killer Communications.

Visit the Killer Communications homepage for news about the show, and past episodes. You can also follow Killer Communications on social media, via X or Facebook.

Introducing; Silkwood

Silkwood is a multi-part podcast that intricately examines the life of whistleblower Karen Silkwood, the nuclear behemoth she sought to expose, the government’s role in potential wrong-doings, and asks the question: What actually happened on that cold and windy November night 50 years ago? Did Karen fall asleep at the wheel and die as the result of a true single-car crash? Did she die for what she knew and what she was on her way to expose? Was it an accident…or something far more sinister? Find Silkwood wherever you listen to podcasts. For more information, including sources, please visit GoneCold.com/Silkwood

Episode 56 The Pennsylvania Head

On December 12, 2014, a teenager in Economy Borough, PA in Beaver County, made a shocking discovery as he walked in the woods along Mason Road. What he found turned out to be an embalmed human head of a woman. The discovery shocked local police who weren't used to that kind of crime happening in their jurisdiction. Attempts to ID the head proved fruitless despite a lot of publicity, casts, and drawings being made of the head. Police wondered if a grave someplace had been robbed, or if the head had come from a funeral home someplace. There were few clues to work with other than the cuts made to the head, the eyeholes which contained rubber balls, and the dental work which proved the woman had been alive after the 1980's to 1990's. Even attempts to obtain DNA from the head came up empty. In an effort to get attention for the case, and ID the woman, investigators enlisted the help of Netflix who featured the case on a 2024 episode of Unsolved Mysteries. In the episode, one potential person who might have some information about the head was featured. He failed multiple polygraphs, and he just happened to live directly across from where the head was discovered. When he died, he took any secrets he may of held about the origin of the head to his grave. Today, the case remains unsolved.

Episode 50 Bible John Part 1

Between 1968 and 1969, a serial killer who came to be known as 'Bible John' stalked women in Glasgow Scotland. He would take the lives of three women in brutal fashion. All three women had various things that connected them, including a dance hall that they all visited. Despite eyewitnesses seeing the likely killer, and a composite sketch being created of him, he was never identified. In this episode, the team talks about the details of the case, and the things that are common between the victims. In part of of our Bible John coverage, we will look at some suspects in the case.

Episode 48 The Santa Rosa Hitchhiker Murders Part 1

From 1972-1973, the city of Santa Rosa, CA experienced a series of abuductions and murders of girls and young women in the area. Most of them were known to be hitchhikers. There are thought to be at least 8 victims. Some of the victims were found dumped in the area. One had been poisoned to death, and others had been strangled. At least one victim was never found.
Were these abductions and murders the work of one person, or a team of two killers working together? Or could two separate killers have been selecting victims from the same area at the same time? In part 1 of our coverage, we explore the victimology, and the area where the abductions and murdered happened in, as well as where the bodies were dumped. We are joined by Geoprofiler Doug MacGregor.

To learn more on this case, visit the Santa Rosa Hitchhiker Murders site.

Episode 47 The Oakland County Child Murders Part 3

In the last installment of our deep dive into the Oakland County Child Murders, we take a last look at potential suspects, and explore the possibility that a sinister island had something to do with the murders. We also give further consideration to the physical evidence to see how likely it is that the case will be solved based on DNA.

Episode 46 The Oakland County Child Murders Part 2

Our deep dive into the Oakland County Child Murders case continues, and in this episode, we look closely at two prominent suspects who may have been ruled out based on the results of polygraph tests alone. Both of these men had records for unspeakable sex crimes against children. Although they look good on paper, the polygraph tests alone seem to have taken them off the suspect list, but can we find something more solid that could perhaps take them off of the suspect list, or will we find something that makes them worthy of being placed back on it? Once again, we are joined by Geographic Profiler Doug MacGregor in this episode.
