So the big question coaches us is this lot coaches like us get trained in how to coach, then let them know struggling on like how to monetize this valuable skill, how to build a solid business, what to do next to grow and to be all the top of this industry.
This is the question. And this book, cust would give you the answer. My name is Karim Amri, and this is coaching secrets podcast.
Uh, you know, today’s episodes. We get to talk about the coaching model now independently of, uh, how you are running your sessions as coach. It’s extremely important to follow a certain model in order to, to cover what’s needed to be covered in the session and to follow a certain process that can lead to helping, uh, our clients achieve what they want to achieve, whether from the session itself or from the contract as, as, as, um, as like, as an overall now, one of the most common and like most known and used model is the grow model.
Now, again, a model is like a sequence of stages, like, like kind of a journey or stages or steps that we are following in order to make sure that our clients is getting well helped and well assisted and well like, uh, uh, coach it to achieve the desired goal.
Now, the grow model, which is, uh, one of the most common modern is, is the model, uh, composite of four, four stages or four steps. Now, each one of the is a G R O N w. It’s referring to the name of the phase.
And the first phase is that starts with G is the goal. Now, initially in any coaching session, it’s very important to identify the goal of the session what’s the client wants to achieve from this session.
Now, usually, this should be like something related to the overall goal of the contract or the partnership you are having with the clients, but it happens that sometimes the client is coming from, but with, with, with the certain goal to achieve that, it’s like a bit different or not in line what’s, what’s the overall like partnership goal. And that’s okay. And that’s normal now at the end, the goal, it should be identified by the client himself.
And, uh, we need, we need to be like flexible in, in dealing with the, with the client’s goal. So this, uh, this is, uh, first phase, which is the goal. Once we are identifying what’s, once we like the goal of the session is being identified. And it’s recommended that the clients start thinking about the goal of the, his session before coming to the session.
So that at least he will, he would have spent some time like thinking going well, what’s he wants to achieve, to avoid wasting like that much time during the session itself. So the second phase is the, uh, that, uh, the art and the grow model is the reality part. Now, the reality is, is the phase where we’re going to explore what’s happening in the client’s life-related did to the goal that you want to achieve for the moment.
Now, what’s, what’s, what’s the reality. How, how has the reality is looking like, how are things happening right now with him? What are the other interaction and all this stuff. Now, this is the second partner. Once we are identifying the goal, we start exploring the reality and here we need to use like explorative questions that will help us understand and have the clients maybe see things that maybe he was not seeing them in his reality. The, the third phase, the third phase is the options.
Now, the options are the, the different, uh, ways tools, capabilities that can help the client achieve hi
