This time Rachel meets with Dr. Mary Jane Minkin, practicing gynecologist, with a special interest in menopause. Both will talk about cognition, mood and sleep during the menopause transition. All three topics are discussed and talk about a lot in our perry sisterhood.
Dr. Minkin is a North American Menopause Society Certified Menopause Clinician. She is also the co director of the Sexuality, Intimacy and Menopause for cancer survivors program at the Smilow Cancer Center.
Dr. Minkin has taught at Yale University School of Medicine for over 41 years, and is a clinical professor of obstetrics, gynecology and reproductive sciences.
She has been recognized by Connecticut Magazine as a "Top Doc" in the state. We also advise to go to her website, MadameOvary.com, which has several videos and podcasts about menopause and many written articles as well.
