Every day we are bombarded with treatments and products looking to destroy , sand down and oblate the outer layer of skin called the Stratum Corneum. Some label it dead and useless, due to it being an annulated cell. However , I have always had a profound understanding and respect for this layer of skin in the context of overall skin health.
