We’re in the middle a four part series through the month of February called Couples Therapy! I’ve invited four courageous couples to join me on the podcast for an on-air counseling session. We’re going behind the curtain of marriage, and giving you a sneak peek of all the things married couples are actually going through behind the scenes.

Because marriage takes work, and it’s important to understand that — but it’s also important to have the tools you need to do that work, and the hope you need to see that it’s always worth it in the end.

Today’s couple, Eric and Ashley, have been married for almost 2 years. But they’re both feeling like something is blocking their intimacy. As we dove into their situation, Eric identified that he feels like his sexual past is getting in the way of their ability to connect both emotionally and physically in the present. He has a significant sexual history, and when he became a Christian he thought his sexual past was gone for good…until it started coming back up in his new marriage. He’s haunted by his sexual past, and in need of hope to break free.

I know many of you can relate to Eric’s journey — and I know this episode is going to inspire, challenge, and encourage you to deal with some of those hard things in your own life!
