Crime Weekly

On the morning of July 11, 2002, 16-year-old Alyssa McGhee was jolted awake by the sound of a gunshot and her father’s scream. She rushed into the living room and found 45-year-old JC McGhee lying on the floor, covered in blood. Minutes later, just next door, JC’s nephew Omar Foston called 911 to report that his house had been invaded, his family had been tied up, and his attackers were still inside. As police arrived to investigate, they quickly realized this wasn’t your average robbery gone wrong—there were layers to this case, from a high-stakes custody battle to JC’s work as a confidential informant. And as investigators dug deeper, it became clear that there were several possible suspects, including family members.

On November 10, 1985, a hunter walking near the edge of Bear Brook State Park in Allenstown, New Hampshire, stumbled upon a rusted 55-gallon barrel tipped over in the woods. Inside, he found the skeletal remains of a woman and a young girl, both wrapped in plastic. Authorities searched for answers, but the victims remained unidentified, and the case went cold. Then, 15 years later, investigators returned to the scene and made a chilling discovery—another barrel, just 150 yards away, containing the remains of two more young girls. And as the investigation continued, the dark truth behind the Bear Brook murders slowly began to unravel.

After over 130 years of speculation, has the mystery surrounding Jack the Ripper finally been solved? Recent DNA analysis conducted by historian Russell Edwards and molecular biologist Dr. Jari Louhelainen has linked Aaron Kosminski, a 23-year-old Polish barber to the infamous murders in London's Whitechapel district. While this development has reignited discussions, it's important to note that some experts urge caution, stating that there are concerns about potential contamination of the evidence and the need for peer-reviewed studies.
