"The most important things are the hardest things to say." – Stephen King
No guest this week — just Logan and Tyson pulling up chairs and getting into it.
Tyson recently wrote a blog post for Cascade Counseling and Wellness that struck a nerve. The title says it all: Why Men Say "I'm Fine" When They're Falling Apart. Two words that most men have said a thousand times. Two words that rarely tell the whole story.
In this episode, Logan and Tyson break down what Tyson wrote — not to lecture, not to preach, but to have the kind of honest conversation that most men never actually get to have. They talk about why "I'm fine" has become the default setting for so many guys, what's really sitting underneath it, and what it actually looks like when a man decides to stop carrying everything alone.
This is the kind of conversation that hits different coming from two guys who aren't therapists — just two dads who've been there, who get it, and who built this whole thing because they believe men deserve real talk without the filter.

"The strongest man in the room is usually the one willing to talk about his weaknesses." – Unknown
In this mini episode, Logan and Tyson sit down with their good friend Chris Romrell — and if there's one word to describe this man, it's capable. Cage fighter. Entrepreneur. Builder. The guy you want in your corner when everything goes sideways. Chris has lived more lives than most people could fit into three, and he'll be the first to tell you about all of them.
This one starts with a rapid-fire tour through a life that reads like a highlight reel of toughness — fighting, building businesses, figuring things out the hard way, and coming out the other side with both the scars and the wisdom to prove it.
But here's where it gets real. For all the things Chris knows how to do — and the list is long — the conversation lands on the one area most men like him never slow down long enough to address: mental health. Chris opens up about the gap that exists in men who are built to do, fix, fight, and provide — but who have never been taught to feel, process, or ask for help. Men who define their worth entirely by what they can handle, and quietly fall apart in the spaces nobody sees.
It's a conversation about being strong enough to be honest. And coming from a guy like Chris Romrell, that message hits different.

"The secret to a rich life is to have more beginnings than endings." – Dave Weinbaum
In this special mini episode, Logan and Tyson sit down courtside — well, festival-side — with NBA legend Tom Chambers at the We-Ko-Pa Celebrity Wine & Spirits Festival in Arizona for a quick but genuinely fun 15-minute conversation with one of the most decorated players of his era.
Tom Chambers spent 16 seasons in the NBA, suiting up for the San Diego Clippers, Seattle SuperSonics, Phoenix Suns, Utah Jazz, Charlotte Hornets, and Philadelphia 76ers. A four-time NBA All-Star, 1987 All-Star Game MVP, and the owner of a 60-point single-game performance that still turns heads — Tom was one of the most explosive power forwards of his generation. He was also a trailblazer off the court, becoming the first unrestricted free agent in NBA history. His number 42 hangs in the rafters at the Phoenix Suns arena, where he's been inducted into their Ring of Honor.
Tyson kicks things off with a memory that hits close to home — recalling a basketball camp he attended as a kid where Tom was there, one of those moments that sticks with you and suddenly feels surreal when you're sitting across from the guy decades later. The conversation flows easy, the jokes come quick, and Tom proves he's just as entertaining off the court as he was on it.
They also talk about what Tom has been up to since hanging up his sneakers — including his involvement with Bajarriba Tequila, a premium tequila brand he's partnered with that's making some serious noise in the spirits world. Because apparently, when you've already conquered the NBA, the next frontier is a great pour.
Short episode. Good laughs. Great man.

"Comparison is the thief of joy.” – Theadore Roosevelt
In Part 2 of their conversation with Jay Stark and Woody Woodard, Logan and Tyson go deeper into the real-world application of the D.R.I.V.E. framework — and things get personal.
Now that you know what D.R.I.V.E. is and what motivational type you might be, the question becomes: what do you actually do with that information? Woody and Jay break down how understanding your drive — and the drives of the people around you — can transform your relationships, your business, and your mental health in ways that very few other tools can.
One of the most powerful concepts in this episode is the Platinum Rule — the idea that the Golden Rule isn't enough. Treating others the way you want to be treated only works if everyone around you is wired the same way you are. They're not. Treating people based on their drive is what actually builds trust, deepens connection, and eliminates the friction that quietly destroys relationships over time.
Woody also gets honest about something that hits close to home for a lot of men right now: comparison. Fueled largely by social media, comparison has become one of the primary drivers of depression and misery in today's world. When you're constantly measuring your life against someone else's highlight reel, you will never feel like enough — regardless of how much you achieve.
They also talk about what it looks like to use this framework in business — including why passion alone is a dangerous foundation to build a company on, and how focusing on the right systems and motivational alignment can make the difference between growth and burnout.
This is the episode that turns awareness into action. If Part 1 helped you see yourself more clearly, Part 2 will help you figure out what to do about it.

"He who knows others is wise; he who knows himself is enlightened." – Lao Tzu
In Part 1 of this two-part series, Logan and Tyson sit down with Jay Stark and Woody Woodard to introduce one of the most practical and eye-opening frameworks for understanding human behavior — D.R.I.V.E.
Woody Woodard is the creator of the D.R.I.V.E. system, a motivational profile designed to help people identify the core emotions and needs that are actually behind their behavior. This isn't a personality test. It's something deeper — a framework that helps you understand not just who you are, but what's moving you and whether that force is coming from a healthy place or a destructive one.
D.R.I.V.E. breaks down into five motivational types — Directors, Relators, Intellectuals, Validators, and Executives — each driven by a distinct emotional need. Woody and Jay walk Logan and Tyson through each type, helping them (and you) start to recognize where you naturally fall and why that matters in every area of your life.
The conversation also tackles one of the most important distinctions in personal growth: the difference between internal and external motivation. When a man relies on outside validation to feel worthy, capable, or enough — he's running on empty. And that emptiness shows up as conflict in relationships, burnout at work, and in some cases, addiction. Internal motivation, on the other hand, is what allows a man to show up full — and actually have something to give.
This is Part 1 of a conversation that could genuinely change the way you see yourself and the people around you. Take the free assessment at discoveryourdrive.com and find out what's driving you before you tune in.

"The secret of getting ahead is getting started." – Mark Twain
No guest this week — just Logan and Tyson, pulling up a chair and catching you up on everything happening behind the scenes at Dad Bods & Beards.
If you've been around since the beginning, you know the story. Tyson's beard and grooming company, Copper Johns, didn't just build a brand — it planted the seed that eventually grew into this podcast. What started as a passion for quality grooming and authentic brotherhood slowly evolved into something bigger: a platform where real men could talk about the things that actually matter. Dad Bods & Beards was born from that foundation, and Copper Johns has been part of the DNA ever since.
So it only made sense that when the time came to create something that truly represented this community, they went back to where it all started.
This week Logan and Tyson are officially introducing the Dad Bods & Beards signature beard care line — created and distributed by Copper Johns. These aren't just products with a logo slapped on them. They're built by guys who actually wear beards, care about quality, and want to see this show continue to grow and reach more men who need it.
They also catch you up on what's new with the show, where things are headed, and how your support — whether that's listening, sharing, or grabbing some product — directly fuels the mission and keeps Dad Bods & Beards alive and expanding.
This one's personal. And if you've ever believed in what this show is trying to do for men, this is your chance to be a part of it in a brand new way.

"Take care of your body. It's the only place you have to live." – Jim Rohn
In this episode, Logan and Tyson sit down with Jason Gray, Physician's Assistant at Game Day Men's Health in Pleasant Grove, Utah — a men's health clinic built specifically to help men reclaim their energy, confidence, and quality of life through personalized, clinician-guided care.
Jason breaks down three of the most talked-about — and most misunderstood — topics in men's health right now: testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), peptide therapy, and weight loss medications. He cuts through the noise and the stigma to explain what these treatments actually are, who they're for, and what men can realistically expect when they pursue them the right way, under proper medical supervision.
The conversation dives into how low testosterone doesn't just affect physical performance — it quietly impacts mood, motivation, mental clarity, and emotional wellbeing in ways most men don't recognize until they get their levels checked. Jason explains how optimizing hormone health can be one of the most powerful things a man can do for his mental health, and why so many guys are walking around feeling like a shell of themselves without ever knowing why.
They also talk about the growing world of peptide therapy and how it's being used to support recovery, sleep, metabolism, and overall vitality — as well as how weight loss medications like semaglutide and GLP-1s fit into a broader, sustainable approach to men's health rather than being a shortcut or a quick fix.
This episode is for any man who's felt off, fatigued, foggy, or just not like himself — and hasn't known where to start. The answers might be simpler than you think, and closer than you realize.

“Every Saint has a past, and every sinner has a future.” - Oscar Wilde
In this special episode, Logan and Tyson sit down with one of the most legendary and notorious figures in American organized crime history — Sammy “The Bull” Gravano.
Recorded live at the We-Ko-Pa Celebrity Wine & Spirits Festival, this is a rare and candid 25-minute conversation with a man whose life reads like the script of a Hollywood blockbuster — because in many ways, it has been. As the former Underboss of the Gambino crime family and the right-hand man to boss John Gotti, Sammy the Bull operated at the highest levels of organized crime during the peak era of the American Mafia in New York City. His 1991 decision to cooperate with federal authorities and testify against Gotti — breaking one of the most sacred codes in mob culture — made him the highest-ranking Mafia member ever to turn government witness, and ultimately sent Gotti to prison for life.
But this conversation isn’t just about the past. Sammy opens up about where he is today, what he’s learned from a life lived in extremes, and why he now feels a responsibility to share those hard-earned lessons with younger generations — to help them see the realities of that life before they romanticize it.
It’s a short sit-down, but an unforgettable one. Few people in the world carry a story this heavy — or tell it this honestly.

“You can have everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want.” – Zig Ziglar
n this episode, Logan and Tyson sit down with good friend Drew Kimball for a conversation about relationships, networking, and the often-overlooked skill of creating genuine human connection.
Drew is one of those people who always seems to have a great book recommendation, a thought-provoking quote, or a fresh perspective ready to go. But beyond his intelligence and curiosity, what stands out most is his commitment to helping people. Whether it's making an introduction, opening a door, or encouraging a friend to take the next step, Drew believes deeply in bringing value to the people around him.
The conversation explores why the strongest networks aren't built on transactions—they're built on trust, generosity, and genuine connection. They discuss the importance of showing up for people before you need something from them, how meaningful relationships often create unexpected opportunities, and why investing in people is one of the highest-return investments you can make.
From their experience together in Belize and now back to the podcast studio, the guys also reflect on friendship, community, and the power of surrounding yourself with people who challenge you, support you, and genuinely want to see you succeed.
This episode is a reminder that success is rarely a solo journey. The people you invest in today often become the people who help shape your future tomorrow.

“Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently.” – Henry Ford
In this solo episode, Logan and Tyson dive into a conversation about failure—why most people fear it, avoid it, and misunderstand it completely. Using the Psychology Today article “Successful People Fail the Most” as a jumping-off point, the guys break down how failure is often the very thing that creates growth, resilience, wisdom, and eventually success.
They talk about the difference between failing and being a failure, why people who take the most risks naturally experience the most setbacks, and how avoiding failure usually means avoiding growth altogether. The conversation also explores ego, fear of judgment, perfectionism, and the reality that most successful people simply learned how to keep moving after disappointment instead of letting it define them.
This episode is a reminder that failure isn’t proof you’re incapable—it’s usually proof that you’re actually trying.
