For almost two decades, Danielle Spencer took the back seat to raise her two sons while her ex-husband Russell Crowe’s Hollywood career soared. 

Now at 56, and part of the "sandwich generation" juggling the needs of young adults and ageing parents, Danielle is releasing her first album of original music in 15 years and she’s determined to increase the visibility of women over 35 in the music industry. 

In today’s episode of the Stellar podcast, Danielle reflects on making the decision to divorce her very famous ex-husband, whom she had known since she was 19, how she’s reinventing herself in mid-life, and what it’s really like to read horrible comments about herself online.
