Danny Wallace's Important Broadcast

The Great Leader was buoyed by the return of poorly Steve this week. Get ready for outrageous claims about what they call crumpets in Billericay, amazing facts about butterflies and a fantastic email about Paul Hollywood (54).

This week The IBS (minus poorly Steve) had the pleasure of chatting to Senior Listener, Jurgen - The Blind Foodie! In Steve's absence, Jurgen was also kind enough to judge this week's Dinner Winner. There was plenty of Showbiz news, obviously and The Great Leader has some hose pipe issues.

Welcome to Module (it's as easy as) 1-2-3. This week, The Great Leader extended a greeting to the only-children of the nation and of course, it was once again time for the re-telling of THAT Eurovision story. Steve picked a beef with a soft drinks company and get ready to learn YET AGAIN that you must never trust a crow.

The Important Broadcast Squad invite you to directly into the zeitgeist with the new lockdown hashtag #BinsOutTinsOut. It's nice to feel a part of something after all. This week, Steve brought news of his recent campaign launch and The Great Leader did a sensational job of judging a tense Dinner Winner.

It's been nice chatting to old friends lately - so this week the IBS welcomed another! Comedian, actor, instructor and football manager Bilal Zafar was on the line to talk about impersonating right-wingers on Twitter and his appearance in what he described as "the biggest film of the year". As well as all that - there was a pummelling in Dinner Winner and the launch of a political campaign!

As The Great Leader once again beamed his words from an isolation basement in Suffolk, they were heard clearly and they were heard well. Many things were learned about Japan this week, thanks to Paul Hollywood (54). The IBS were also joined by an excellent guest in the shape of Ricky Gervais!

It's another elongated episode this week - because the IBS figures that you've probably got time for that. In this module, learn of the retirement party in a jet fighter, find out if Steve's been washing his hair and learn oh so many things about Paul Hollywood.

It's a bumper pack, fun-sized, party-mode episode this week. No particular reason... Perhaps The Great Leader just had a lot to say. The IBS also check in with author John Niven to talk about his new book and a bin that he bought!

With the IBS fully adjusted to The Great Leader's physical absence - let us all thank goodness for his continued audio presence. This week, a fire in a bin caused upset in a community WhatsApp group, Steve has been out in "the exercise yard" and some oranges spoil the day for a young Wallace. There's also a cracking Dinner Winner and some passable facts in Tell Me Something I Don't Know!
