If it is a politician, they want you to support them and their political Party so they can win the majority of elections and determine the direction the country will take for the next few years. They may very well benefit in their personal finances and in other ways as well.

A wise teacher will also read and tell his class stories about honesty and dishonesty, and how dishonesty is never really rewarded.

An organization has to spend large amounts of money on advertising. It increases the cost of the products.

To meet this expenditure, price of the product is raised. No manufacturer pays for the advertising expenses out of his pocket. Advertising, therefore, leads to unnecessary rise in prices.

In other words, advertising costs are probably passed on to the consumers in the form of high prices.
