Christopher just released SAPPHIRE SUNSET, the first book in his steamy and emotional Sapphire Cove series. Since the novel's set at a luxury resort, Eric thought that in honor of Christopher's new work and achievement, this week's True Crime TV Club should be hospitality-themed, so we bring you DATELINE Season 21, episode 3, entitled "Family Affair", a tale of murder, brutality and millions among the family behind one of Miami Beach's most storied hotels – a riveting choice even if there was no hotel in his wonderful new book.

In this installment, we bring you the HBO series MURDER ON MIDDLE BEACH, a sprawling and frustrating tale of suburban privilege and addiction that at times pushes the boundaries of journalistic ethics. Eric would prefer to focus on the tale of two feuding egomaniacs who created a supernatural hysteria in 1960's London, and whose manipulative antics were all too human and more unsettling than any ghost story.

On a special Valentine's Day edition of Christopher & Eric's True Crime TV Club, your hosts serve up philandering politicians, deranged cults and a rousing discussion of the true meaning of the word "filth". Christopher heads to the Garden State for the unsettling tale of the gay icon gay people didn't want, serving up Season 2, Episode 9 of STRANGE BEDFELLOWS on Discovery +. Eric takes a dusty and disturbing road trip to the plains of Utah with Season 4, Episode 2 of the same series where a sect of radical Mormons take time from hating on gay people to abuse each other. Sometimeslove means having to say you're guilty of a crime.

Great artists remain immortal through their work, so we never have to truly say goodbye.  

To honor the posthumous release of "Ramses the Damned – The Reign of Osiris", your hosts Christopher and Eric have their first unscripted discussion of Anne Rice's impact on their lives and work since her passing. Christopher offers a glimpse inside the collaborative writing process with his late mother on the second and third books in her wildly popular series about resurrected and immortal pharaoh, Ramses The Damned, a fictional creation who rivals the vampire Lestat in popularity.
