We can't rely on "systems" such as your pediatricians, early intervention, preschools, or educators. Too many of them take the "wait & see" approach, are spread too thin, or simply don't have the knowledge to inquire further.

Parents who have a better understanding of how to use / interpret developmental milestones are in a much better position to guide their child to success, health and happiness. Yes, there are ranges, but that does NOT mean we don't have expectations.
