In this episode, I dive into the journey of making this podcast, inspired by a book I read to my daughter, Alyssa. The main theme revolves around dreaming big. Do we tell our kids to dream big, yet hesitate to do the same for ourselves? Teaching our kids to dream big is essential, but are we leading by example? I discuss the importance of modeling the behavior we encourage in our children, emphasizing the power of self-belief. I share a personal story of how a children's book, "Dream Big, Little Alyssa," became a catalyst for my podcasting journey. The book's message resonated with me: take a leap, be bold, and believe in your voice. 

Question for you: Why don’t we speak to ourselves and believe in ourselves, the same way we speak to and believe in our children? 

I open up about my fears and doubts, emphasizing the importance of taking risks and pushing beyond our comfort zones. I reflect on the opportunities we have today, thanks to social media and online platforms, and how our parents took risks for a better life. My journey includes the challenges of balancing work, family, sacrifices and chasing dreams.

Addressing the misconception that dreams are only for the privileged, we discuss the investment in our dreams, even when resources are tight. It's not about having it all but strategically investing in what truly matters.

I encourage you to be open to new opportunities, say yes to new challenges, and recognize that you are capable.  

Your dreams matter, your happiness matters. Remember, behind every successful woman is herself.
