  • EP 343 | Moving through disappointments
This episode of the 6-Figure Secrets Podcast is a bit different than what we usually talk about on the podcast. You see, normally we talk about things that help us to see and experience results. But today, we’re digging into disappointment and how move through disappointments.

In this episode I’m sharing four disappointments that I’ve experienced lately, that have really thrown me for a loop. These things have derailed me, caused me to lose way too much sleep, and made me question if I’m actually capable of growing this company to $1,000,000 by the time I’m 40.

But the beauty of entrepreneurship, and actually being a human, is that we get to make a choice when things disappoint us. We can choose to crumble and let our disappointments define us, or we can decide to use them as a jumping off point. We can use our disappointments as a way to move us forward and to propel us to the next level.

So in this episode of the 6-Figure Secrets I’m sharing a fairly vulnerable take on what I’m doing to move through these disappointments with the hope of helping you to navigate a disappointment you may be experiencing.

  • EP 342 | Why lifetime value matters
If you want to scale your business, yes, you need more numbers. It can be a numbers game! The more leads you have, the more people you have to invite to join you in your program.

And while we always need to be generating more leads, there is also another way to scale your business, that doesn't focus on more leads.

And that’s looking at your lifetime value of your leads.

    TAKEAWAYS
    • Lifetime value is how much each lead is worth on your email list. What if you focused on increasing the lifetime value, but the email list size didn’t change? What kind of change would that create?
    • More invitations to current leads to buy. Your people are looking to you to help their pain point. Why wouldn’t you sell to them? Sometimes we think the next way to scale it through Meta Ads, adding a new team member, or creating a larger offer, which keeps you in constant creation mode, instead of making money mode.
    • It’s a win win every time. When you increase lifetime value of your leads, it doesn’t just help you and your family, but it also helps theirs because you're actually helping them through a product, program, or service.

  • EP 341 | Using data to drive decisions featuring Sydney O’Brien
Sydney O'Brien an Instagram Strategist who helps mompreneurs save time and increase their profits with custom strategies.

She is a mom of 3 young boys, a homeschooler, and a military spouse who has moved 4 times in the past 5 years. So she definitely understands the stress of wearing all the hats to accomplish all the things. Especially on timelines and with limited resources.

She’s passionate about owning and running a business that fits into her life, not having a job that runs her life. She loves being able to help other mom business owners find that same balance.

    TAKEAWAYS
    • Market research through your Instagram Stories to get ideas for your content. Try to figure out what people are worried about or thinking about and how that relates to your specific industry. Then create shareable content from that information.
    • Repurpose your content. If you have a post or Reel that is reaching and engaging a lot of followers, you can take that content and make it into multiple forms of content. For example if you have a piece of content that digs into “the 5 things that…”, you could take each of those 5 things and make its own content for each point.
    • Find what works for you. All of the different ways to create content on Instagram are great, but you have to do what works for you. You may find more success with a static post than making a bunch of Reels. Use your data to help you determine what works best for you and your audience.

  • EP 340 | Takeaways from the launch of Threads
In its first 7 hours of life, Meta's new social media app, Threads, had 10 million users. That’s bananas! Whether you are a fan of Threads or not, this is crazy impressive. So what can we learn from this?

In this episode of the 6-Figur Secrets Podcast we're NOT digging into the best strategies for Threads, but instead, we'll be working through what we can learn from the launch of Threads that can help us in our businesses.

    TAKEAWAYS
    • Make it easy for your leads to become your clients. The minute you make it complicated or overwhelming, you’ll lose the sale.
    • Make your offer or product familiar or reminiscent of earlier days. Threads is reminiscent of other social media apps in the early days.
    • Timing in the marketplace can be a window of opportunity for your offers. Offer a solution to a pain point. How can you fill the void and give them what they want?
    • If it bombs, try it again. Did you know that Meta launched Threads in 2019 and it bombed? They relaunched it and 10 million people joined the first 7 hours! Just because it didn’t work the first time, doesn’t mean it’s a dud.
    • Make the learning curve small. More features don’t always make for a better client experience.

  • EP 339 | Mastery featuring Kristin Maahs
Kristin Maahs is a former teacher and course creation coach. She helps business owners to create and sell a sustainable, scalable, and transformational online course with best learning practices and educational strategies so their students actually get results.

Kristin is the host of the She's Building a Dream podcast, creator of The Effective Course Creator program, and holds a masters degree in Education.

    TAKEAWAYS
    • Mastery means continuously doing the work.Constantly rinsing and repeating and working through that mastery. Asking yourself what can do differently? How can I make this better?
    • Take consistent action even if it isn’t perfect. Learning to trust yourself as you progress, even if it isn’t perfect or it’s messy, helps you take continuous action. The more you overcome something, the further you get to the top and the more you trust yourself.
    • People that get the best results keep trying something innovative over and over again. Then they try something different. Usually when a business blows up, someone was innovative and they tried something completely different.

  • EP 338 | Taking radical responsibility
Something that has been a total game changer for me this year has been taking radical responsibility over the results I'm experiencing in my business. And this ownership has created massive growth in my business. A very obvious metric of this growth is that I’ve brought in more sales by June of this year, than I did in all of 2022. Things are churning and burning and I really equivocate that growth to one main thing, taking radical responsibility for everything in my business.

And so what do I mean by this?
Not being passive and taking massive, aligned action.

In this episode, I’m going to share my perspective on this, and dive deep into how you can stay focused on your goals and adjust when needed, which will help you to take radical responsibility.

    TAKEAWAYS
    • Instead of making excuses when something isn’t working, ask yourself, what can be done? When my masterclass wasn’t getting 50 registrations each week, I asked myself, do I need to change my Meta ads, lead magnet swap, or work on getting more registrations through my email list? What can I do to control the situation?
    • Your goal is more important than your comfort zone. Sometimes something will work for a while and then you won’t see the same results you were seeing. Maybe it’s time to change your messaging. It’s ok if things need to be adjusted and it's quite brave when you can admit that something needs to change.
    • Learn to serve yourself first. When pouring from an empty cup, you can’t fully show up. We need to say to ourselves more often that we are worth it.

  • EP 337 | Creating connection through video featuring Nellie Corriveau
Chief of Wealth at The Wealthy Mama Movement, Nellie Corriveau, is passionate about helping mama entrepreneurs create financial and time freedom that they desire.

Nellie got her first taste of sales in the non-profit sector, successfully raising over 3 million dollars for Nellie’s Champions for Kids, which she founded at the young age of 16.

She has since transitioned out of her Executive Director role at NC4K and into business coaching and strategy where she uses her unique gifts to coach and support entrepreneurs on how to actually make money doing what they love. Under Nellie’s guidance, entrepreneurs learn to master their sales skills with focused strategies and rock-solid accountability.

Nellie’s magic is delivered through various on-demand programs and resources, her podcast “Wake Up & Be Wealthy”, the The Six-Figure Mama Club, and her wildly popular The Mama Mastermind where she has a direct impact on the growth and success of hundreds of businesses every year.

Not coming from money and having ADHD, Nellie is on a mission to help as many women build wealth and gain millionaire status.

She is also the co-host of The Biz Bestie Bash, a three-day conference focused on being a resource for online businesses, podcast host and an author.

When Nellie takes off her crown at the end of the day, she loves to spend time working out, shopping, Netflix-ing and relaxing with her husband Jared and her daughter Emma and baby boy, Boone.
As a family they have been focused on building wealth and creating a life they love.

    TAKEAWAYS:

    • Show up authentically in your videos. Be less attached to what the video does and more attached to the impact it's creating.
    • Think how you can pour value into a video. Focus on content that can help people break through their limiting beliefs and helps people take action. That might include teaching with a white board, doing a giveaway, leading them to a freebie. Make it easy for them to take the next step.
    • Create content with the end in mind. If you have a call to action or something for someone to do, they’re going to start to create change and they’ll create change with you and it’ll create momentum.

  • EP 336 | Creating your own metrics
I recently had a coaching call with one of my done-for-you clients about her conversion rates. She was converting about 3% of her leads from her webinar over to Fitting Calls. And for her price point of her program, getting a 4-5% conversion rate is pretty standard.

But after some close inspection of the numbers and a deep dive into the moving part of her webinar and lead generation efforts, we decided she shouldn't focus on increasing her conversion rate. Instead she should focus on something else.

In this week's 6-Figure Secrets Podcast episode I share why it's important to know what your industry standard are, but also why it's even more important to create your own metrics.

    TAKEAWAYS:

    • Funnels are a predictable way to grow and scale business. When the funnel works it adds fuel to the fire. It magnifies your message and gets you in front of more people who need and want your help. The funnel serves people in a way that works for you and works for them.
    • Feed the machine. If your funnel is working, and you want to make more money, all you need to do is get more people into your funnel. The best way to do this is with meta ads.
    • Look at your numbers. How do these numbers feel? How is this working for me? Ask yourself lots of questions. How many leads enter the funnel weekly? What are they clicking on or not clicking on? What can you do to beat your own metrics? How can you create your own metrics in your own funnel, lead magnet, email sequence? How can you make these things work better for you?

  • EP 335 | Building credibility featuring Merel Kriegsman
Merel Kriegsman, Women's Wealth Advocate and Business Mentor, is a serial Millionaire Maker with Soul, and global authority on helping women overcome generational underearning.
A former cleaning lady turned self-made Millionaire Matriarch, she believes that the most powerful thing we can do for our children is become unapologetic female leaders who fearlessly demand what they're worth, AND GET IT.

Her insights, based on helping 1000+ women step into SELF-FUNDED wealth, have been featured on CBS News, ABC News and in publications like Forbes, Fast Company, Entrepreneur, and Good Housekeeping.

Spot her in the wild on her organic farm in Canada, reading erotic novels in a 1920s lace dress, and rubber boots.

    TAKEAWAYS:
    • Credibility building is a tool to help position ourselves powerfully to ask for top dollar in what we do. You can’t afford to be modest. Take what you have done and try to write a bunch of different ways that will land and show your authority in that space.
    • You’re not just building credibility with your audience, but you’re reminding yourself of that credibilty, which builds massive self confidence over time. You need active self-confidence to claim your credibility.
    • Start small. Maybe start by saying something that builds credibility in a sales call versus a public post. As you build your confidence, you’ll be able to gather more things that add to your credibility.

  • EP 334 | Testing content in Instagram Stories
Before I create anything (social post, blog post, new program, etc.), I usually test it out in Instagram Stories first.

This helps guide me in creating anything in my business before I actually put the work in to create the actual content. It’s important to ask the people who are following me if the content actually resonates with them and if I’m actually having conversations with people on topics that matter to them. I have been able to develop awesome relationships with people who became clients, colleagues, and friends by opening myself up to these conversations.

I challenge you to post something every single day and ask for feedback from your audience. Let the info you gather inform your next move.

    TAKEAWAYS:

    • Stories help me to land on new podcast topics, masterclass, and carousel topics. I’ll do a 1 minute video where I talk about something and use a poll to understand my audience's perspective.
    • This strategy has also allowed me to embrace the “everything is content trend” (check out episode 318 for more on this). Through Stories I'll share a video that is representative of my business values. Things like spending time with my family, baseball games, or walking to the bus stop at 3:00 in the afternoon are some of my most commonly shared videos. I'll then use those videos in Reels, which creates continuinuity between my Stories and my Feed.
    • Testing EVEYRYTHING out, and I mean EVERYTHING! It’s as simple as me dropping a question box, responding to the engagement prompts. Because I have been doing this, I have seen an increase in engagement, increased podcast listeners, and more attendance at live events.
