Horses and human beings during a real estate transaction are a lot alike - they need to be handled with emotional intelligence. Purchasing or selling a home is a high stakes scenario with a lot of money and emotion on the line.
Just like horses are sensitive to the emotions of their riders, consumers are sensitive to the emotions of their agent.
Unfortunately, a lot of deals go south and people get hurt because agents lack the EQ required for things to go smoothly. In order to be great agents, we have to apply level-headedness to our transactions, and avoid showing strong emotions because it can ruin the transaction.
Our guest has a horse farm and is a highly successful broker, and working with horses taught her a lot of real estate success. Brittney Pino started her own brokerage and earned $1 million in commissions as a single mom.
What factors were key to her success? How do we increase our EQ? In this episode, she shares her story, why she bet on herself and started her brokerage, and what real estate agents need to implement to make more money.
The life you’re living you’re choosing. If you don’t like it, you can make different choices. -Brittney Pino
