Emotionally unavailable men, through the lens of a verbal reading of “What men don’t want women to know”. For the woman who ever wondered why being mean made him text more, come closer, and why men enjoy “mean women” who “treat them badly”. The way dealing with these men can come with physical and mental pain, bargaining, and changing yourself to meet them where they are, and the regression that comes with that. Unpacking the lived experience of what it means to be a lover girl in the face of men who are on a quest of finding targets and victims to add to their roster. And more importantly, the misogyny that often is found in emotionally unavailable men. 

This opens up with therapy vibes, then pivots to a male POV of why men operate as they do with women (Reading the chapter “Double Standards”). Then cuts to a breakdown of the literature, and an analysis of why emotionally unavailable men interact with women who want serious relationships. The episode ends with a personal and semi-recent story of my brush with emotionally unavailable men.
