Welcome to the Episode 108 Highlights Show of the Trail Running Ireland Podcast.
"Brave, full of heart, and always wanting more."
Ronan Sharkey´s family were told in 1989 when he was born that he may not survive the next 48 hours.
Due to Ronan´s Cerebral Palsy, his mam was told he would never ride a bike or take part in sports. He was told he had to go to a special school but he stayed against the odds in his local primary school. Teachers in secondary school said he wouldn´t pass their subjects but he did.
As the years progressed, Ronan´s balance and skills improved, he got stronger and Ronan has gone out to conquer some of the hardest Trail Running Races in the country. Ronan was with us last week to tell us his story.
