Do you know the difference between “Gay-Friendly” and “Queer Affirming” when it comes to treatment and sober living? In this conversation, Dr. Dallas Bragg and his guests Joey Bachrach and Steven Buffin-Stewart from Rainbow Hill Recovery delve into the complexities of drug treatment, particularly within the LGBTQ+ community. They discuss the importance of queer sober living environments, the necessity of reentry services, and the role of emotional sobriety in recovery. The conversation highlights the significance of creating a sense of belonging and family within treatment centers, as well as the need for affirming spaces that cater to the specific needs of queer individuals.
