Welcome to episode 177 of the Women’s Running podcast. I’m your host Esther Newman and she’s your other host Holly Taylor. On this podcast we talk about health, politics, stuff on TV and what we ate last night. Occasionally, we talk about running.
Happy new year! We’ve got a treat this episode in the form of Charlie Watson, otherwise known as Runner Beans, who we’ve had on the pod before, and we wanted to drag on for our first podcast of 2024, because of her running know-how, but also because of her day job as a dietician, so that we could ask her all our burning food questions – something we know comes up a bit in January.
Drinking and running
When we recorded, Hol and I were both massively hungover so we want to talk about drinking and running to begin with, and then we move on to New Year’s resolutions, and how to stick to them in a healthy way.
Diet tips
Charlie has some stupendous tips here – things that we’re going to start doing right away, and none of them are about restricting our diets in any way. In fact, the main one is about adding to our meals rather than taking away, which we LOVE. Super sensible advice! Enjoy!
