And welcome to todays episode! Where I have the Self Love Author of the Doughnut Diaries, Rachel Lavin.
She shares her story of four decades of having no self love for herself or her body. We talk all about how she lived a life going from one restrictive diet, to another gaining, and losing weight multiple times throughout forty years.
We also discuss how she felt betrayed by her body for most of her life, and how at forty she decided that enough was enough! She was exhausted from beating herself up, never feeling good enough or having the self confidence, and self acceptance to have a happy life. So she decided to work on herself, and came out on the other side, and slowly but surely began to love her body, feel sexy, and confident. And how this had a ripple effect on the rest of her life. Including in the bedroom, with the lights now on, instead of off!
We also talk about how to communicate with a partner if you are feeling self conscious with your body, particularly when your body changes while in recovery of physical body changes, and how best your partner can support you during this time.
Rachel is on a mission to inspire women to live a life free of restrictive dieting, to age with gratitude for what their bodies are capable of, and most importantly to know that they are not alone!
