Ultra training is a long game, and if you’re constantly looking for bursts of excitement to carry you through, you’re in trouble. The athletes who succeed aren’t the ones who feel inspired every day—they’re the ones who put in the work, no matter what.
So let’s strip it all down. Why do you think you need motivation? What’s the real thought behind your resistance to training? Because if you can identify it, you can change it. And that, my friend, is how you create momentum that actually lasts.
