We’ve all been there…

You take one day off from training.
Then one day turns into two.
Two turns into seven.
And before you know it, weeks have gone by and your race is right around the corner. Cue the “oh shit” moment.

If your race is only 6–8 weeks away and your training has completely fallen apart, what do you do? Do you just throw in the towel? Or is there a way to right the ship and get yourself back on track?

In this episode, I’m walking you through a step-by-step process to help you figure out where things went wrong, how to reset, and what to prioritize with the time you have left. We’ll cover:

  • How to analyze why you fell off track (without beating yourself up)
  • The one shift that matters most if you want to salvage your race prep
  • What skills to focus on in the final weeks leading up to race day
  • Why consistency will always win over cramming extra miles
  • How to recalibrate your mindset so you feel confident—whether you toe the line or decide this isn’t your race

Sometimes the smartest move is to show up and salvage what you can. Other times, the boldest decision is to pull back and live to train another day. Either way, you’ll come out of this episode with clarity, confidence, and a plan.
