In this episode, I reconnect with Gemma Bisphop, who I knew at university, when neither of us realised what was happening behind the scenes in terms of our relationship with food!
As a qualified teacher with an MSc in teaching and learning, Gemma Bishop has proved that you can function with anorexia. This all changed, though, after fifteen years of suffering and her finally requiring an inpatient admission. Following almost four months in the hospital, Gemma Bishop reconnected with writing. She has a passion for inspiring others and hopes the collection of poems within her book “Wonky Thoughts: An Insight into an Anorexic Journey” can encourage everyone to look deep within themselves and find just one thing that makes them smile, as you only get one chance at life, and it is better if you accept who you are.
