Imagine the idea of losing a leg, just from taking the bins out.
Well, that's precisely what happened to 24 year old Michelle Errichiello on February 17, 2007.
Given Michelle's leg was (unbeknown to her) amputated upon impact, given that her artery was completely severed. She had 2-4 minutes up her sleeve before she bled out in the 38 degree heat.
It is, in my opinion, that some people are gifted circumstances in such a way that it unlocks something within them that inevitably ripples out to better the people around them, far and wide.
Michelle is one of these people.
Through this turn of events, Michelle developed a grit, determination and sense of self that wasn't accessible to her for the 24 years leading up to this.
She broke the mould when it came to amputee recovery.
She broke the barriers to WALK down the aisle and marry a mere 10 months post accident.
And, she broke world records when it came to running (not bad for a previous non-runner).
An absolute ball of energy that lights up the room, well in my case the virtual Zoom room... but that's the kind of unmistakable energy that I just love getting around and sharing with the world.
Enjoy!
