Welcome to session 2 of our series Uncovering Your Strengths: Using Your Talents to Enhance Your Career, Life & Future! Today's Guest is Micayla Bean and she is sharing with us her favorite theme of her top 5 of Responsibility. 

The theme/strength of Responsibility lives under the Domain of Execution. This theme is centered around taking ownership, commitment to anything that you’re emotionally connected or bound to. You're conscientious of what you do and obsess on the details of getting things right. 

My conversation with Micayla on her Strength of Responsibility and why it is her favorite was so much fun. I learned a lot of how this strength has impacted her and how it has changed her life. Be sure to listen to different facets of this strength and how she has owned it!

Who Is Micayla?

Micayla Bean, my pronouns are she, her, hers. Some resume items: I have earned a B.S. in Recreation, Parks and Tourism and an M.Ed in Educational Leadership and Policy. I currently work as a student conduct officer at a small-mid size institution (less than 7,000 but more than 5,000 students) but also have experience working with first year orientation, extended orientation, and student activities.

Micayla is a student-centered Higher Education Administrator committed to educating, empowering, and leading. Currently working as a conduct officer, Micayla guides students in developmental conversations which help them more effectively align their behaviors with their goals. Self-proclaimed Strengths nerd since 2014, Micayla recently became certified as a Strengths coach. She strives to intentionally aim her strengths in her work and personal life and encourages others to do the same.
