Dr. Randie Schacter is the founder, owner and solo practitioner at Silver Psychiatric Services, PC, in Matthews, NC, treating women and children with a special passion in caring for women physicians. She is awarded as a Distinguished Fellow of the AACAP, and the past President to Charlotte Area Psychiatric Society, the NC Council of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry’s current delegate to the AACAP Assembly, and co-editor to their newsletter. She is a best-selling author and speaks professionally on managing stress, burnout and understanding gender differences, their etiology, presentation and management. She is also the creator and owner of an interactive CME program, she calls Mindfulness Based Arts and Stress Reduction (MBASR) for Women Medical Professionals to manage stress and burnout using art, mindfulness, meditation, yoga, cognitive behavioral therapy techniques, and peer support, (accompanied by Farm-to-Table homemade-gourmet food) in the Charlotte Area. This program has served medical professionals by significantly reducing the symptoms of stress and burnout in an atmosphere of warmth, creativity, care, laughter and kindness. The smiles, data and testimonials tell the story best. She has expanded the local programs to retreats around the US and internationally with one scheduled in the Berkshires this August and Olhão Portugal in April 2024.
