In today’s episode, Kara and Kylie are talking to fellow coaches, and the owners of Full Effort Coaching, Kenny and Sarah Lipton. They are here to discuss their story and mission in coaching, as well as dive deep into what really makes workouts WORK for clients.
Both Kenny and Sarah have always been interested in fitness and had definitive paths in mind for their journeys. However, their courses were altered when they each suffered from major injuries.
The two met at the gym and realized that they shared a vision of helping others with their fitness goals. Kenny had recently realized that he didn’t want to become a physical therapist, and had more interest in fitness overall, and Sarah had a vision of creating outdoor fitness experiences for people. Ultimately, their main mission was the same: to help others.
Kenny and Sarah believe that you are meant to be wherever you are at a given time. It’s all to bring you to your goals and where you need to be, even if that looks different than you thought it would. You have to put effort in. Tempo, rep sequences, mental state, all of these things matter. Maintain that drive to become better than you were yesterday and hone into your “why.” Also know what you are targeting and understand the execution behind the movement. Together, with Kylie and Kara, they dive into how you can level up your own training sessions through this mental shift, and what true intensity and intent is.
