Episode 15: Getting Motivated To Lose Weight

This episode discusses the idea that most people rely on pain-based motivation to lose weight, but this is not an effective way to maintain motivation. Instead, focusing on pleasure and choosing activities that bring enjoyment can be a better way to maintain motivation for weight loss. Also brought up: dopamine, a chemical that is released in the brain when we experience pleasure, can be used to motivate behavior, and pain may be a good motivator in the short term, pleasure is better for maintaining motivation over the long term.
